Workshop Leader: Dr. Tankred Stöbe, first worked with Médecins Sans Frontières in 2002. He is specialized in Internal, Intensive and Emergency Care Medicine and works at a hospital in Berlin. In his almost 30 MSF-field projects Tankred worked most recently in Haiti, Syria, on a rescue ship in the Mediterranean, Libya, Gaza/Palestine, Venezuela, Yemen, Afghanistan and Ukraine. 2016 Tankred received the Paracelsus-Medal, the highest award of the German medical association, and in 2021 the Bundesverdienstkreuz.

With over 20 years' experience in conflict zones such as Syria, Ukraine, Gaza and Haiti, Dr Stöbe brings invaluable insights into managing ethical dilemmas and critical situations.

This interactive session will engage you in real-life scenarios and provide a deeper understanding of the complexities faced in crisis environments. Through an interactive fact-checking process, we will collectively examine the realities of field operations, fostering a deep understanding of decision-making in extreme situations.
