Description: Conflicts, disasters and crises can suddenly and dramatically change the situation in a country. Humanitarian organisations need to act quickly and make the right decisions at the right time. In this workshop, you will immerse yourself in the crisis cell of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid, which is part of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). What help is needed when and how? Can help be provided at all? What added value can Switzerland offer? 

Based on concrete examples, you will gain an insight into the decision-making process of a humanitarian response and the challenges and opportunities involved.  

The workshop will be given by specialists of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid.
